The number of the illiterates in Nepal is gigantic. 54 percent of the people, from this 74 percent of women, still can neither write or read.

Formation and consequently a chance at work is the single possibility for the people in Nepal to escape from the poverty. This mediates a strong basis for a future, particularly for the illiterates, since formation ist always interconnected with status and corresponding financial means.
In the educational-program of Kali Ma Foundation Nepal e.V. are found writing, and reading-programs – arithmetic - and calculation-programs. Married women show the biggest interest in the educational-programs and programs to the health-provision up to now. Often, they carry the sole responsibility for the entire family. Through the educational-offer of Kali Ma Foundation Nepal e.V. it is possible for them to appropriate themselves a good basis-knowledge about their own one and the welfare of their families.
