Garbage Disposal
Nepalese traditionally discharge their garbage in the backyard of their house. In case of organic waste this does not cause any serious problems. However, when we are dealing this way with plastic material, batteries, cans and other garbage that cannot be recycled, then we are talking about environmental danger in a long run.
Not only the increasing amount of garbage but also exhaust fumes of cars, trucks and flues, getting in the air without having been filtered, become a more and more important topic. In collaboration with the Social Club Dolalghat, a joint project became initiated and the Kali Ma Foundation Nepal, Inc. wants to elaborate it further in their aim to solve this problem.
In the meantime, already two working places have been created in the field of garbage disposal. The population of Dolalghat has been informed to bring their garbage to a depot where it can be burned. The Foundation takes charge of the cost for one of the garbage man employments
