Welfare Meals

Quite some time ago, the Kali Ma Foundation Nepal, Inc. initiated regular welfare meals in Dolalghat that take place one time per month. Especially for this purpose, a small house was rented. Actually, 250 - 350 persons - many children among them - take advantage of this possibility to get something to eat. Due to the big demand for this help for the poorest, even a bigger place had to be rented in the meantime. The renovation work for the bigger house started already.

In the early morning hours, the Nepalese cook with many helpers start preparing the meals in huge pots over the fire wood cooking place. According to the season, the meals consist either of warm rice or rice flakes, meat and vegetables, or Dal – a lentil dish – or rice flakes with yoghurt and fruits, baker's ware and fruit.
