Dear members, dear sponsors and friends,

already at the beginning of the new year we are pleased to count with new sponsors and interest for sponsorships. Every single sponsor is important. Your help and support makes it possible for us to enlarge continuously the work of the Kali Ma Foundation Nepal, Inc., enabling us to do even more good. We thank you so much for it.

Talk to each other, listen to each other.
It has become a good tradition already: about two to three times per year, Kali Ma and Quasan reunite with the parents of all sponsored children. Either at the Kali Ashram or the woodland school. This service with conversations about the educational advancement of the children, their performance and report is well accepted by the parents. Just enjoying to sit together. Of course, questions about the personal well-being are treated at this occasion too. Apart from these parents meetings, Kali Ma and Quasan regularly visit the villages of our sponsored children, being in touch always with the children and their families.

Steadily improving.
Many of our sponsored children are good and very good pupils, much to our joy. To all those sponsored children who learn less easily, we started to offer coaching and help with the assignments one year ago in rooms that we rented for this purpose. It is a pleasure to see how good it is for the children to study in community after school.
Even better: this service is available also to pupils from Dolalghat who are no sponsored children of the foundation. It has been accepted with such a big enthusiasm that we could set up another coaching class as of December 2009.

Action winter clothes 2009/2010
In winter sometimes it is extremely cold in Nepal. Many families simply lack the necessary means to provide for warm clothes for the children and themselves.
For the first time, the Kali Ma Foundation Nepal, Inc. (e.V.) started the action winter clothes. We all are very touched by the action's success. Kali Ma and Quasan could distribute free warm winter clothes to a lot of children and adults in need in Dolalghat and surroundings. Many, many people helped us to fill the donation pot for this good purpose. To all of them we dedicate today our special Namasté from Dolalghat.
