A school sponsorship at the Kali Ma Foundation Nepal, Inc. makes it possible that particularly children of a lower caste may go to school.

The normal school period in Nepal is of 7-10 years. The school sponsorship contribution covers all occurring costs per month, such as e.g. those for school clothes, school fee, educational books and other material, costs for the school bus, the school work attendance as well as, the warm meal “Tiffin” twice a week at lunchtime. Furthermore, all sponsored school children can be provided with rain jackets during the rainy season that lasts 3 months, and warm school sweaters and warm underwear during the winter months.

Kali Ma, founder of the Kali Ma Foundation, Inc. and Quasan, one of the local organizers in Dolalghat, regularly visit the sponsored school children and their families. They keep in touch with parents and teachers and informed about the school quotes of the sponsored school children. Therefore, they always keep an eye also on the educational progress. The children and their family – all of them are included, and over the years the hearts grow together. It is a pleasure to see how growth takes place.

And it is a very particular pleasure to see that many of our sponsored school children are good or even better pupils. The sponsorship also has an extreme positive impact on the soul level. It simply is obvious: extremely introverted children become souls who break like small plants through the earth towards the light of the day, in the true sense of the expression.

Our sponsors also take active part in the development of their sponsored children, either by personal visits locally or at the yearly sponsorship meetings. There, they get the answers to all questions around their sponsored children. The much valued inner contact from a sponsor to his sponsored child helps additionally and is very important.
